Day 3 - Morning

Jake had another good night. His cerebral pressure stayed in the 13-17 range and he fever is down. He had another CT scan this morning as well as a chest x-ray. The CT is showing no addition pressure and the x-ray was clean. I guess one of the concerns from intubation is infection from the tube being in his lungs and with his fever the past few days that wanted to rule that out.  His face swelling is even better than yesterday. More small wins.

They are closely monitoring him now for Vasospasm (spasms of the arteries in the brain which can be a result of the aneurysm and subsequent bleeding) and hydrocephalus (fluid build up in the brain) because typically this appears 4 to 10 days after this type of surgery.
